Week 12 CCSS Spiraling Morning Work Freebie

Happy Tuesday Night Dedicated Followers!

It's been over a month since I last blogged...my husband's travel schedule has been INSANE and there hasn't been any extra time to blog.  I promise to make up for it in the coming weeks.  Below is the 12th edition of the the morning work freebie.  You can click on the picture to grab your copy.  I'm thinking it's error free (checked over it several times), but if you find something that is a typo, please email me so I can make the correction and relink it up for everyone.  I do the best I can as I create these, but I am human and errors can happen.  Enjoy the rest of your week!  Until next time....

After a Month Long Hiatus, I'm Back!

Freebie Fridays

Happy Friday Everyone!

Happy New Year!  Wow!  I can't believe I've been out of the blogging world for exactly one month now.  It definitely wasn't a planned hiatus, but life took over so the blog was pushed to the side.  December is such a crazy month because of Christmas and our little nugget's birthday!  We had parties and family keeping us busy until this week.  I was finally able to get some more morning work done for you.  So sorry for the delays, but my resolution this year is to get back on track with at least one weekly blog entry/freebie for you all.  You can grab Volume 8 of the morning work freebie by clicking the picture below.  I'm now going to get Volume 9 started while our little nugget sleeps.  Have a fantastic weekend and leave a comment if you download please!  I love hearing from everyone! :))))

Multi-Digit Multiplication Song Freebie

Freebie Fridays

Happy Friday Ya'll!

I often wonder if I'm really blogging to people or just talking to myself with the allusion that people come and visit my blog.  Oh, well...I enjoy getting my thoughts, ideas, and finds out there in hopes of helping fellow teachers meet the ever growing demands of our profession.

Speaking of demands, I can't believe what a slacker I've been with blogging!  I feel like I need an extra 10 hours or so in my days to get everything done!  I have my half marathon training, national boards,as well as the regular demands of being a mom, wife, and friend currently on my plate.  It's definitely exhausting to be me right now!  Tomorrow I will run 10 miles for the first time ever in my life!!
It's pretty crazy to drive around town and see how far I've already run.  I dread, look forward to my Saturday runs with other teachers who are in this with me.  I love the company, but it's overwhelming to try and keep up.  I'm the slow one in the group, but am getting faster each week!

Back to school~I noticed my blog is trending with math freebies and I will definitely make a more concentrated effort to mix it up.  Ironically, I don't like math and reading is my passion; however, it's more challenging to come up with fun reading "stuff" off the top of my head with 5th grade content.  I usually lean towards Pinterest and my fellow blogging buddies for inspiration in the ELA department.

I bring to the table today a fabulous freebie shared with me by one of my co-workers.  She and another fellow teacher created a "Long Multiplication" song to the tune of the Hokey Pokey.  It's fabulous to help teach 5.NBT.5 and the the children LOVE it!!  You can grab your free copy by clicking the picture a.  I above.  hope you can use it and would love to hear from any followers out there!  I have a fabulous freebie coming your way when we reach 100 followers on Bloglovin!  I'm currently working on some fun task cards with and without QR codes for my loyal followers.  That's all I can say about it right now, so get the word out there to help get our followers to 100 and you will be given a set of fabulous task cards not available to anyone else on pinterest or teacherspayteachers. :)

Happy Saturday! 5.OA.1 Freebie :)))

Happy Saturday!
Freebie Fridays

I bring you a freebie for 5.OA.1 inspired by our student teacher and team member at my school.  It's an active engagement student response card.  Basically, you print out the paper, glue to card stock, and laminate.  You make one for each student and give them a clothespin to use.  When you're ready to use, write a numerical expression on your white/SMART board and ask students to put their clip on which item they due first to solve.  Obviously, make sure you write 5.OA.1 order of operation style problems on the board.  Students then show their cards.  Repeat the steps above to work through the entire problem or to use with each new problem you write on the board.  Another way I've used them is to help guide students through solving each problem.  I ask them to show me which operation they should do next on every step.  I hope you're able to use it!  The graphics were from mycutegraphics.com.  Click on the picture to grab your free copy!

Happy Monday! Volume 4 of Common Core 5th Grade Morning Work Freebie

Classroom Freebies Manic Monday

Happy Monday Ya'll!  Holy Moly!  I've been SO busy!  My husband's travel schedule has been off. the. chain.  School has been extremely busy, national board projects are about to begin, and I'm training for my first half marathon!  WHOA!!!  I'm loving every minute of it, but it's definitely been busy being a single mom so much during the week while tackling everything mentioned above.  Any who, I've created week 4 of my daily dozen spiraling morning work.  I've linked up with Manic Monday Classroom Freebies to share this freebie with you.  You can grab your copy by clicking on the screen shot of it below.  The morning work is a combination of several resources with my own spin on some of the problems and/or directions.  If you're using it I would love to hear from you!  Have a great week and check back often for more freebies! :)))

Happy Friday With Two Common Core 5.NBT.1 Freebies!

Freebie Fridays

Happy Friday Ya'll!  I'm back to post two 5.NBT.1 freebies for you!  If you're interested in either one, just click the picture for your copy to download.  The first freebie is something I created to send home for homework.  There are two to a page (to save paper).  I don't believe children need 20 problems to show mastery.  I like to only send home 5-10 math problems at any given time for practice.  Please let me know if you use.  Also, if there's anything out there you would like to see me create and share on the blog.
 Homework

Student Workstation/Center Recording Sheet

The second picture is my version of a fun center to practice standard, expanded, and word form with dice.  I can't find the original idea, but it was a paid product geared towards lower grades.  I just tweeked the idea to fit 5th grade and made it free.  Basically, you differentiate the workstation by determining the number of dice student use to create a number.  You could also differentiate by having students write the equation to the power of 10 instead of in expanded form for those high fliers you may have.  If any of this is unclear, please let me know and I would be happy to explain or post a picture of one of a completed sheet from my students.  Have a fantastic weekend!  Until next week! :)))
